Foodcourt logo design for kebab shop

AUTHENTIC MEDITERRANEAN FOOD CHEFS AT HABIBI’S KEBAB REQUIRED A FOODCOURT LOGO DESIGN FOR THEIR FOOD KIOSK IN THE BAYFAIR SHOPPING MALL, MOUNT MAUNGANUI. THE LOGO NEEDED TO COMMUNICATE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE FOOD AND THE RIGHT ETHNIC FEEL.

This project also combined Duffy’s interior design input to achieve a modern yet authentic look using a combination of patterned rustic tiles, and and a Mediterranean white and blue palette of tiles that matched the logo outer shape. This was pulled together with natural wood and some unique lights.

Duffy explored fonts for the brand that looked like Arabic writing and felt Mediterranean, yet retained readability. The final font has a hint of the cultural feel, but also rates highly on the legibility scale.

Duffy worked with local hospitality design consultants Project Design International in then fitout design and construction, and AMP Retail Design management to ensure the design met stringent mall requirements.
